CZECKMATE: The Story

Our musical journey began unexpectedly at the Russell Cotes Art Gallery & Museum. We were both volunteering there as musicians and ended up being accidentally double-booked for the same time slot. It was a delightful twist of fate that brought us together and sparked the beginning of our musical journey.

Veronika is a Czech flute player and a music teacher.

With her classical training from the Conservatoire and experience with the Masaryk University Symphony Orchestra, she adds depth and versatility to our sound.

Graham is a professional guitar player and pilot.

Graham is a successful musician with decades of experience at live performance and recording. He played lead guitar for The Unusual Suspects for 15 years and he now specialises in acoustic guitar in a variety of styles.  He is also a former RAF fighter pilot and now works as a test pilot based in Bournemouth.
